  We stayed in the beach house and it had a massive entertaining deck looking out over the ocean. You could hear the waves breaking and there was plenty of seating for everyone. The rainbow lorrikeets came to see us each day and I even got one to stand on my arm for apple!

  Inside, the cottages were lovely. Tastefully decorated with comfortable beds, hot showers, and cooking facilities. Will definitely be back to stay. Felt so relaxed when we left.

  the deck had a fantastic view of the beach. There is also lots of activities to keep the family happy. We took the kids bush walking, cycling, fishing and swimming.

  My family loved their stay at depot beach cottages! It was such a relaxing, unhurried place with very few people around. Which was surprising because the beaches and the bushland were gorgeous!

  We wouldn't hesitate to return to Depot Beach Cottages so tastefully designed for clean comfort holiday experience. Open comfy living spaces well equiped kitchens for entertaining, the open decks encouraged staying with family and friends alike!..easy with children of all ages to be entertained and parents to be recharged. The BBQ's my husband was more than impressed and become a wizard in whipping up delicious food to share. Even a spot for table tennis out of the rain and open fire places for melting mashmellows moments with kids...and this is just the cottage spaces- the surrounding area is a goldmine to appreciate life at it's simply best..treasure hut in the pebbles and seashells, walk/run along the beaches as far as your eye can see, paddle board no matter the season in aqua water, take your mountain bike to ride along the lake with the kids then drop the kids off and let loose with your mates! Thank you Depot beach cottages for making memories to keep and helping us have time away from phone reception! Loved it- coming again.

  Comfy accommodation with fabulous decks provide a great place to relax and watch the wildlife and drink in the beach views.

  We rode several mountain bike trails, ran the beach, walked around the headland, and my husband went fishing and caught two kawhai! When evening came the cottage was a great place to kick back and enjoy a bbq with our friends.

  We had the best weekend at the Depot Beach cottage! it was spacious and modern with amazing ocean view...went for a swim (with wetsuit as it was August!!), bike rides, bush walk with little kids and went fishing!! Depot Beach has everything to relax and is simply one of our family's favorite destination! Highly Recommend!!
