  FOOD: The quality of what is prepared is hit and miss. There is no consistency in the quality that goes out to customers. We've been there at times and have greatly enjoyed our meal, yet when we return a few days later it's so bad that we've had to throw it out or risk food poisoning. You're not meant to be able to SMELL the oil they've cooked the chicken in, but on a few occasions the chicken has had the worst smell imaginable - like the chicken had been cooked in motor oil - I'm not joking. You're NOT meant to be able to smell the oil on the chicken. When you complain to the manager, they claim the oil has just been changed, takes your name and number and offers to replace your meal free on your next visit.....would you revisit on the off chance you get better food when so many people have complained about this restaurant? Maybe we will, maybe we won't.

  The restaurant is in dire need of highly experienced staff and management to lift its reputation in ALL areas of both food quality and their quality of service staff.

  I have had family visit me from interstate who work for the same chain where they live and have visited our local KFC, believing in the theory that the same high quality standard they were trained with would be served everywhere, but they were appalled by the filth in store and terrible cooking standards as well as stock rotation. We witnessed fresh chicken being piled on top of older chicken. No wonder when you get your order you might not have consistency or if you visit the store after a rush, you're served horrible chicken that's dry and wrinkly and that should have been thrown out several hours prior to your purchase.

  But one thing is certain, we're sharing our terrible experience with others because we don't want them to suffer as have we. Many people sharing similar bad experiences can't all be wrong. They're simply sharing the truth.

  Clearly there has not been a competent manager here in a long time. Someone needs to fix the problem and raise this KFC store from the gutter or give all their staff a serious training course in hospitality. This store has the potential to be GREAT but when it seems like they've got a bunch if lazy kids working there with a don't care attitude that take no pride in their work.....you're not going to get the standard of service that you receive from other chain stores.

  No sweet potato to try. The chicken was dark in colour and greasy because the oil was shot and needed changing. Last night's experience was a let down at KFC.

  SERVICE: Depending on the time of day and time of year (gets extremely busy during school holidays) you visit, you could be in for up to a 30 minute wait, not to mention that you probably won't get everything you've paid for. Their staff's inability to up sell or combine multiple items ordered separately into a value deal to save you money is a very serious issue. At times it feels like they prefer to rob you instead of providing world class customer service and food. With that said, mind you, not all the staff are as incompetent.

  The excuses we've received in the past for bad or slow service was that several staff called in sick.....(I wonder if they ate the chicken?)

  Things like this are just unacceptable. Perhaps the HEALTH DEPARTMENT should be notified and some serious fines imposed because if they continue serving such bad food quality, one day it could kill someone.

  You will occasionally come across a staff member who is on the ball and surprisingly delivers the quality of customer service that you expect from any chain of this fast food restaurant. But this is a rare event.

  The majority of people who pass through our town (I am a local in Batemans Bay) stop here for a bite to eat, having had KFC in other parts of our country or the world, and yet the consensus on the quality of the food prepared at this local restaurant as well as the cleanliness of this restaurant certainly leave much to be desired....

  It was probably one of the worst places i have been served.no one on front counter except some bloke with a glue gun who was screaming out in his language to the manager.Then staff members were leaving one by one still no one at the counter then the manager went out as well to talk on his phone it was about3 or 4 oclock .while i was eating people were constantly going back to the counter asking for sauces/serviettes and one bloke was waiting ages just for sauce that he should have had.as a eating experience it was very uncomftable and unnecessary

  Terrible customer service!!! Ordered 2 boxed meals and then told that they didn't have the wicked wings and would only replace with 1 piece of chicken!! All of this after we paid!!! When I questioned and asked if we could also get a popcorn chicken thrown in I got attitude!!! I asked for a refund and left!!! Will not be returning!!
